Plus 20+ more caps, vents, liners & inserts in our catalog — ask us what fits your chimney.

I only put parts on your roof that I'd put on my own house. If a cheaper cap does the job, that's what I'll quote you. I'd rather you call me again in ten years than overpay once and never come back.

Are your services insured and licensed?
Yes. Adam Chimney Sweep is fully licensed and insured, and we comply with all local and state regulations to ensure your safety and satisfaction.
How often should I clean my chimney?
The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) recommends a chimney inspection at least once a year, with cleaning as needed. In Colorado this is especially important before winter when fireplaces and stoves see heavy use.
What are the signs that my chimney needs cleaning?
Watch for a strong smoky odor when the fireplace isn’t in use, slow or inefficient burning, visible soot, heavy creosote deposits, or smoke entering the room. If you notice any of these, schedule a cleaning right away.
What is creosote, and why is it dangerous?
Creosote is a tar-like substance that forms when wood burns incompletely. It builds up inside the flue over time and is highly flammable — a leading cause of chimney fires if it isn’t cleaned regularly.
Why is my firebox deteriorating?
The firebox endures extreme heat, so mortar joints and firebricks can degrade over time — especially with moisture exposure or neglected maintenance. Regular upkeep and inspections greatly extend its life.
What should I do if I experience issues after a service?
Contact us immediately. We’ll assess the situation and address anything covered under our warranty or service guarantee — your safety and satisfaction come first.
What are my responsibilities as a homeowner?
Please provide safe, clear access to your chimney and fireplace, and disclose any known issues or past damage so we can give the most accurate assessment and service.
Do I need a permit to modify my fireplace in Denver?
Major modifications — like a new liner or fireplace — may require a permit from the Denver Building Department, and Colorado limits non-EPA-certified wood burning on Air Quality Action Days. We’ll guide you through code compliance.
